IJEBU FASHION WEEK is an international multi day annual event that will always feature elaborate display of classic and contemporary designs, creative exhibitions, runway shows ,workshops, orientations ,industrial networking with the sole purpose of raising the awareness for our indigenous fashion professionals.
IJEBU FASHION WEEK 2012 is created as a major platform of showcasing potentials in the area of fashion of the ijebus as a geographical area, Ogun as a state, Nigeria as a nation, Africa as a continent and the rest of the world.
IJEBU FASHION WEEK is scheduled to hold on September 21st-23rd.
IJEBU FASHION WEEK2012 is in partnership with OGUN STATE MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND TOURISM through the office of the HONORABLE COMMISSIONER FOR TOURISM AND CULTURE, CHEIF OLU ODEYEMI.
IJEBU FASHION WEEK2012 will feature FASHION DESIGNERS, SHOE MAKERS, HAIR STYLISTS, BEAUTICIANS, MODELS, BEAD MAKERS/JEWELERS etc.
Each day of the event will be identified with its theme tag and event. First day of the event which will be the opening ceremony will be tagged “PEACE MY NATION” every facet of fashion will showcase their products/collections/brands in Nigeria National color combination i.e. GREEN AND WHITE. The second day will be tagged “AFRICA INSPIRED”, every facet of fashion will showcase their products/collections/brands with the touch of AFRICAN ORIGINALITY. This day will also feature fashion contest for every facet of fashion. The third day which will be the “GRAND FINALE” will be tagged “STYLE THE CELEBRITIES”. This day will feature eight (8) dignitaries and celebrities in Nigeria being dressed and styled by the chosen fashion professionals. There will be heavy prints and electronics media to support the event.
Expected guest at this event are: Ogun state government functionaries, corporate organizations, international organization, youths(student and non-student), international fashion expects, people of all ages.
